The Portlaoise Heritage Hotel will host the Rose of Tralee Regional Festival from 29th May to 2nd June 2013.

For those who have not heard of the competition, some explanations for you : Different countries are represented through these Roses, who travel from the UK, America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and Ireland. But to participate, the Roses must be Irish or have Irish origins.
A Rose reflects the intelligence, compassion and independence of the modern Irish women. All these qualities image the Irish song The Rose of Tralee.
We will know the new Rose of Tralee during the final, in the County Kerry.
The festival also includes street entertainment, carnival, live concerts, theatre and the international Rose Parade.

Wednesday 29th May 2013 International Roses arrive at Portlaoise Heritage Hotel and dine at the Maldron Hotel Portlaoise.
Thursday 30th May 2013 Irish Roses arrive at Portlaoise Heritage Hotel, visit local schools and local attractions and visit The Maldron Hotel Portlaoise for dinner and an evening of entertainment.
During the 5 Days, Roses will visit local attractions, will participate at the traditional parade and finally will be selected for the final.
